AI managers for WhatsApp
Your WhatsApp keeps selling while you get on with the work.
Chatera builds an AI manager for your business and puts it on the number your customers already write to. It answers questions, quotes prices and takes bookings in seconds — at 2am as readily as at noon. Every dialog stays visible, and you can take over mid-sentence.
No account needed. We look your business up on the web and write a first draft you can read before signing up.
- Answers in seconds, day and night
- Your existing WhatsApp number
- Open-source core, MIT licence
How it works
Three steps, about ten minutes
No integrator, no flowcharts to draw, no second phone number.
01
Tell it about the business
A name and a link are usually enough. Chatera reads what is already public, turns it into prices, services and opening hours, and asks you about whatever it could not find.
02
Connect WhatsApp
Scan a QR code from the number your customers already use. Nothing is migrated and nothing is forwarded — the manager simply starts answering in the same chats.
03
Watch it work
Every conversation lands in one inbox. Read along, correct an answer, or take the chat yourself — the manager steps back the moment you start typing.
See it working
The part your customer sees
A scripted conversation on a loop: the question, the price, the free slot, the confirmation. A different business each time round.
Example conversation
Fold & Blade
- Hi! Do you have anything free this evening?
- Hi! Yes — 18:30 and 20:00 are open today. Cut is $24, cut and beard $32.
- 18:30 works. Cut and beard.
- Booked you in with Daniel. Cut + beard, today 18:30 — see you at 14 Mill Street.
- Perfect, thanks
What it does
A manager, not a chatbot
Judge it the way you would judge a hire: does it know the answer, does it close the booking, does it know when to call you.
Answers from your facts
Prices, services, hours, address, delivery zones. It answers from what you gave it — and when it does not know, it says it will check instead of inventing a number.
Takes the booking
Offers the free slots, confirms the time, writes down the order. The conversation ends with something in the calendar rather than with "let us know".
Replies in the customer's language
Russian, Kazakh, English and dozens more. It follows the language of the message it is answering, not a setting on your account.
Sends the price list — once
Menus, price lists, directions, photos. A server-side rule ends the classic loop where a bot re-sends the same PDF every time prices come up again.
Knows when to fetch you
Discounts, complaints, anything outside what it was told: it hands the chat over and pings you rather than improvising on your behalf.
One inbox for all of it
Every chat, every contact, the full history — in the browser and on your phone. Taking a conversation back is one tap.

Questions
Before you start
What does it cost?
Building a manager and testing it costs nothing. A paid plan starts when it goes live on your number. The amounts on this page are placeholders while pricing is being finalised — the self-hosted core is free under MIT regardless.
What counts as one conversation?
One customer, one day. However many messages you exchange within 24 hours, it bills as a single conversation — a talkative customer does not cost more than a brief one.
Do I need a separate phone number?
No. The manager works on the number your customers already write to, and you can keep using WhatsApp on your phone at the same time.
Which languages does it speak?
It answers in the language the customer wrote in. Russian, Kazakh and English are the ones we test on every release; the model is not limited to those.
What if it answers something wrong?
You see every dialog and can take over mid-conversation — the manager stops as soon as you start typing. Anything it was not told about is escalated to you rather than guessed at, and the correction you make becomes part of what it knows.
Where does our data live?
On our infrastructure for hosted plans, in the region agreed with you; on your own servers if you self-host. Message content is used to answer your customers and to show you the conversations — not to train models. The specifics are in the privacy policy.
Is it really open source?
The core is, under MIT: the reply engine, the WhatsApp adapter, the inbox, the model providers and the tools. Our private half holds billing, the hosted AI-Builder and growth analytics. Everything needed to run the product yourself is in the public repository.
Answer the next customer on time
Ten minutes is enough to find out whether this works for your business. Nothing to install, and the number stays yours.
